Link your bank account via SBP: pay without a QR code and set up autopay

Your account now supports saved payment methods. You link your bank account once through SBP, the Russian Faster Payments System, and can then pay from it without a QR code or a confirmation in your bank. Below is a step-by-step guide and three ways to use the link.

What you can do with a linked account

  • Pay without a QR code. When you top up, you choose the linked account and the money is charged right away, with no QR code and no confirmation in your bank. Good for anyone who tops up manually.
  • Renew servers automatically. In a server’s settings, choose the linked account as its payment method and the server renews from it on its own. Each server has its own setting, so you can automate only the ones you want.
  • Turn on automatic top-ups. When your balance runs short of the upcoming renewals, it is topped up from the linked account. Good if you have several servers and do not want to keep an eye on the balance.

How to link your account

  1. In your account, open Payment methods in the side menu and create a new payment method on the Saved payment methods page.
  2. Choose SBP with auto-renewal as the payment method.
  3. Select the payer and check their details.
  4. Review everything and finish — you will be taken to the payment system’s page.
  5. Confirm the subscription in your bank’s app — it opens by itself or via a link. You only need to do this once.
Linking does not charge anything — it only links your account.

To check that it worked, open Saved payment methods: a row with the linked account appears there, marked as enabled.

Paying without a QR code

When you top up, the payment page shows a saved payment methods block with the linked account and the amount to pay. Pay from there: the money is charged right away, with no QR code to scan and no confirmation in your bank, and your balance is topped up as soon as the payment comes through. The minimum payment is €1.

Automatic server renewal

Open the server’s settings in the VPS section. In the Payment method field, the default is your account balance; choose the linked account instead and save. The server then renews on its own: when the renewal date comes, the money is charged to the linked account, with no balance needed. The other servers keep renewing from your balance. To undo it, switch the field back to your balance.

Automatic top-ups

This is a separate setting under Billing → Auto payment. When your balance runs low, it is topped up from the linked account by an amount that covers a month. Set it up for all services, choose SBP with auto-renewal as the method and set the maximum payment amount. If your bank asks you to confirm a subscription or a small payment, confirm it — the money goes to your balance.

How to unlink your account

You can unlink the account at any time. On the Saved payment methods page, select the row with the linked account and delete it — the subscription at your bank is turned off along with the link within a minute. If any server uses this account as its payment method, switch it back to your balance first.

You can also cancel the subscription in your bank’s app, under subscriptions and autopayments.

If your bank does not support linking

Not every bank supports SBP subscriptions yet: of the 195 banks that accept SBP payments, 172 can link an account. If your bank does not offer to confirm the subscription, use regular payment — by SBP with a QR code or by card.
