A 99.8% SLA and an updated edition of the Terms of Service

A 99.8% SLA and an updated edition of the Terms of Service

From 15 October 2026, ForestsNet Cloud has a Service Level Agreement (SLA), along with an updated edition of the Terms of Service. Here is what that means for you.

What the SLA promises

  • 99.8% per month. That is the guaranteed availability of every server — no more than about an hour and a half of downtime a month.
  • We answer for our suppliers. An outage caused by the data center or our contractors also counts as downtime, and we are the ones who pay the credits for it.
  • Transparent measurement. Availability is measured by our monitoring, which checks the nodes every 30 seconds; incident history is on the status page.

Credits for downtime

If a server’s availability for a calendar month falls below 99.8%, a credit calculated from that server’s monthly price is added to your balance:

  • below 99.8% — 10%;
  • below 99.0% — 25%;
  • below 95.0% — 50%.

To claim it, contact support within 30 days after the end of the month and name the server and the approximate time of the outage. If we detected the downtime ourselves, we may add credits without a request.

What does not count as downtime

Planned maintenance announced at least 48 hours in advance — up to 4 hours a month; your own settings and reboots; DDoS attacks on your server; blocking of our addresses in particular countries; and force majeure. The full list is in the SLA.

What has changed in the Terms

  • Data and backups. Backups are still yours to make: regularly and not on the same server. We do not keep copies of your data.
  • Liability. For unavailability of servers you get credits under the SLA; overall liability is capped at the amount paid over 12 months.
  • Force majeure and planned maintenance. The list of force majeure events is more detailed, and we now announce planned maintenance at least 48 hours in advance.
The updated Terms and the SLA take effect on 15 October 2026. Until then, the edition of the Terms dated 1 October applies.
